At Ozark Homestead we strive to make Horseback Riding at The Lake Of Ozarks one of the best  memories of your visit. Our Guides have years of experience at trail riding, and we believe that our Horses are some of the most gentle you will find anywhere, wheter you have years of experience or you have never been on a Horse before we have one that you will love. Riding Through the Beautiful Lake of the Ozark State Park Not only will you see Native Missouri Forests but you will most likely see some of the local Wildlife in this 18,000 acre wildlife Sanctuary.

We are located in the Lake Of The Ozark State Park. Take Hwy 54 to Osage Beach and go East on Hwy  42. Go 4 miles on Hwy 42 to Hwy 134 ( the entrance to the State Park) Turn right on Hwy 134 and go 4 miles To the riding Stables on the left.   GPS Address is 760 state hwy 134 Kaiser, mo. 65047

We Offer several different Rides

 

   Our 2 hour ride is the most beautful of all, it offers all of the excitement of  the 1 hour ride plus follows a trail along the edge of the water and below some wonderful bluffs. This 5 mile trail leaves at 3 p.m. every afternoon and is for riders 10 years old and up, to assure a reservation for this ride please call ahead to save a spot at(573) 348-6670. The cost of this ride is $60

 

   Our most popular is a 1 hour ride that is 2.5 miles long that goes through the mature hardwood Ozark forest and along a bluff overlooking the Lake. This ride is $30 and no appointment is needed, unless you have 10 or more in your group, however the minimum age is 7 years

 

 

For the little cowboys and cowgirls that are not ready to be riding alone we offer Pony Rides for Kids between the age of 1 and 10. On this trail the parents lead the kids on a short forested walking trail near the stables. The cost of this ride is only $10 and gives parents a little quality time with the children.

Information you need to know

  • Children must be 7 years or older to ride the 1 hr. ride
  • For safety reasons, we do not double ride
  • Minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian
  • We are unable to accommodate riders over 275 pounds
  • All rides are guided and at a walking pace
  • We recommend wearing jeans, closed-toed shoes
  • No backpacks, purses or bottled water
  • Plan to arrive 20 minutes prior to ride time for check in

 

  • If you need to cancel, please call there will be a 25% cacellation charge.
